Don Pathman
Donald Pathman, MD MPH is professor and research director of the Department of Family Medicine and Director of the Program on Health Professions and Primary Care at the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is Co-Editor of Education for Health, which is the official journal of Network: TUfH, and directs UNC’s National Research Service Award Primary Care Research Fellowship. He is a family physician who has practiced in rural Colorado, Maine and North Carolina, as well as in UNC’s tertiary care hospital. His principal research interests are in evaluating federal, state and foundation-sponsored programs in primary care service and education, health care policy analysis, community medicine, access to care, rural health, racial health disparities and understanding physicians’ clinical and career decision-making.
